Although I don’t consider Harlowe James to be a fashion blog, fashion has always played a huge role in my life and is one of my biggest inspirations for interior design. In the summer I go to a lot of daytime parties and hangout outside just about every weekend. I often found myself trying to wear something a bit fancier than denim cutoffs but still be comfortable and not overdressed. I now have a go to outfit that can transition into the evening very easily.
This skirt it my favorite recent purchase. It is silk, but it doesn’t wrinkle too badly and is so lightweight. I just pair it with my favorite white t shirt and white pointed toe flats. This is perfect for running around the city, but this look can be dressed up a bit with strappy heels.

In the evenings I will also switch out the denim jacket for a light leather jacket and apply a bold lip color to look a bit more polished. Just ditch the hat, freshen up your hair and you are good for a night out!
