I have been really drawn to muted monochromatic floral arrangements lately opposed to the bright staples of the summer season. As much as I love vibrant sunflowers and punchy roses, I have been sticking to a softer palette in out apartment because I feel like the florals go better with the colors seen throughout our living space. I feel the same way when bringing flowers to a table to entertain. Having small monochromatic arrangements can offer beautiful texture without becoming too overwhelming.
For this arrangment I combined soft pink roses with stock flowers and miniature mat daisies. In some lighting the roses almost appeared to have a light purple gray hue, so I tried to pull accent flowers that complimented the varying color. I was putting this on my coffee table and I wanted the whole thing to be fairly short, so I trimmed the stems accordingly and placed them in one of my favorite textured concrete vases. When paired with my new woven tray the florals pop against everything else while still remaining pretty and subtle.
