Simple Changes Make a Big Difference

When we first moved into this apartment we tried to invest in pieces with longevity, but given that I am exposed to so many different designs through my job, I could rotate furniture out on a weekly basis. Obviously that is extremely unrealistic (bummer!), but the one piece I was never really happy with was our coffee table. I ordered it because we needed something quickly and it was a no fail design, but the color of the wood always drove me crazy. It looked yellow and cheap up close and got scratches really easily. I knew I wanted to replace it immediately, but didn’t want to spend a ton of money so I waited until I found an affordable option from Living Spaces that fits perfectly into our living room.

It was exactly what I was looking for and made the entire room feel lighter. I was hesitant to go with the popular marble and brass combinations because a.) I see it everywhere and b.) I never wanted our apartment to feel too “girly”. Clearly I got over both of those things because our apartment has no shortage of pink and I never tire of seeing a cute marble and brass table. I love how changing out one piece of furniture can make all the difference in a room. Whether it is the wrong size (when something is too big or too small it throws the room off completely) or the wrong texture, replacing the item that bothers you most can improve the whole look dramatically.

Just because I scoured the internet forever, here are some of the other coffee tables I am loving right now!

Thank you so much Francesca! It is a vintage Turkish rug from a flea market.
