As If It Wasn’t Obvious.. I Love Fall

Local Spotlight: Truck & Barter

In the world of online shopping stumbling upon a beautiful brick and mortar home store, piled high with goods I lust after and an Instagram worthy interior feels like finding treasure. When I first saw a photo of Truck & Barter online last year, I immediately drove to Petaluma to check out the store. I fell hard for this family owned and operated business and their curated selection of textiles and home decor. It quickly became one of my favorite stops for small gifts and decor for my own apartment. Their selection of baskets, signature candles and high end pillows will not disappoint. Everything in the store has so much attention to detail and because items get rotated around frequently, I always discover something new.

If you have seen a picture of my apartment you have probably noticed three of my favorite decor pieces are pillows, baskets and candles. I just can’t seem to get enough and Truck & Barter has such a great selection of all three. I just purchased their new striped fringe pillow in white and black, which looks perfect on our sofa. Their collection of baskets is so varied, which makes choosing just one an impossible task. I have already purchased quite a few including this, this and this basket bag, which makes for a great fall farmers market bag.

Truck & Barter works hard to source a unique selection of American made goods, including many pieces from Farmhouse Pottery. I talked about my love for the Vermont based company when Daniel and I visited last fall (in this post), so I love that a local store carries some of their pieces. This milk jar vase is perfectly shaped and makes any floral arrangment look good. I have also had my eye on these pitchers and this bowl. You may have also seen me constantly burning Truck & Barter’s signature black jar candles. The olive and sage is one of my favorite light scents which smells so great in our kitchen and bedroom. These candles are heavy duty and have an excellent burn time.

I hope you are all lucky enough to visit this beautiful modern farmhouse inspired store in the heart of downtown Petaluma. However if you don’t live locally, Truck & Barter has a wonderful website that is easy to navigate and they ship their products all over the US and internationally.

Looks like a store I would love. Next time I visit your Mom, I’ll check it out. You know how I love to shop. If we coordinate a visit that would be even better.
