September Q&A

Art.com Now At Walmart

I am constantly asked about good places to buy inexpensive art so I was very excited when I saw that Art.com now has a large selection of pieces sold at Walmart.com. Whenever I am in need of a little decor refresh I instantly pull a new piece of art. I often look for unexpected pieces that don’t instantly seem like they would fit the rest of my decor. Black & white photography is by far my favorite medium and adding a small piece like this to my kitchen shelves instantly added a cool factor. I love putting art in unexpected spaces like our kitchen built in. It helps to break up decorative accessories and more functional pieces like our cutting boards and fruit bowl.

There are so many options to choose from in this collection and many of the pieces come framed. It makes it so much easier when art comes ready to hang, but I often end up just leaning them because I love the casual look it gives off. My tip to leaning art is to balance it nicely with either another piece of art or something of a different shape like a round cutting board or mirror. Scroll down to see more of my favorite options now offered at Walmart.com.

Hi! I just LOVE your style! I have been trying to find a similar ceramic vase that you have in your apartment. (The darker tan colored one that looks amazing in so many places and photos! It is next to the lemon bowl in the photos above.) Any chance you remember where you purchased it? Or have any suggestions for other ceramic vases? Thanks!

Thank you Lindsay! It is from Elsie Green, one of my favorite shops for vintage ceramics. If you can’t find it on their site, Etsy usually has similar pieces if you search under french crocks.
