Island Vibes

Lately I have been loving a relaxed aesthetic with everything from my clothes to apartment decor. The warmer weather definitely inspired me to lighten things up a bit and stick to great textured pieces over bright colors and loud prints. As I anxiously prepare for our Hawaii trip (which is not until the end of May) I am investing in quality pieces that I will use throughout the summer and for years to come. I have been sticking to neutrals like white and blush for a lot of my clothes and incorporating a fun bag to liven up the outfit.

For our apartment warmer days call for the windows open with the breeze coming through. I love that feeling of a sunny day that isn’t too hot and I have been adding in some accents that evoke that tropical feeling. I have had India Hicks book for a long time, but I always look it at it for inspiration because she has the epitome of island style. I also love a more tropical scented candle, textured accents like these gorgeous coasters, and large palm leaves in an earthy vase.

I totally love scented candles! This is a great round-up of tropical things, totally my style too. 🙂
I found your gorgeous blog only yesterday when I read about your home tour on The Glitter Guide. I’m so so so jealous of how you live, it is so beautiful! 🙂 I couldn’t keep it to myself, so I had to post some pictures of your home tour on my blog as well, I hope you like it…
Anyway, just wanted to drop a line to say I totally love your style. Just wow! Keep up the great work!
    Love, Inge x
