Neutral Halloween Decor

Happy October! Halloween has long been one of my favorite holidays. My birthday is a few days before so it always feels like a fun time of the year and a nice start to the holiday season. I love decorating for all of my favorite holidays, but Halloween is a tough one because as much as I want all the decorations I see we, live in a small apartment where storage is a major issue. For this reason I like to stick a few simple festive pieces and incorporate a lot of cozy items like fall scented candles and pumpkins that I can throw away at the end of the season.

This year I decided to change up my gallery wall with some inexpensive artwork. I love how it makes the living room look and instantly made it feel like Halloween was coming. Etsy has some great art and downloadable PDFs so you can easily print them at home or at a local print shop. This vintage photograph is one of my favorites and I feel like you can’t go wrong with skulls for Halloween. The rest of the artwork I already had, but I added another Audrey photograph I ripped out of my book to make everything black and white. Other inexpensive pieces I love are metal skulls, white mini pumpkins, cloches and crows. I prefer to keep a mostly neutral palette as it blends in with our existing decor much better. I tend to avoid orange hues and instead layer a lot of whites and blacks with brass accents.
