My Approach To Wedding Planning

Holiday Style Layered in Neutrals

We didn’t go all out decorating this year for Christmas, but I wanted to give you a peek inside our apartment before Christmas is actually here. I like to keep things simple or it can tend to look really cluttered, so I stick to a lot of fresh greenery in wreaths, garland, and of course our gorgeous Christmas tree! We cut our Christmas tree down every year in Sebastopol, a family tradition that I get really excited about. For the garland and wreaths I get them at Trader Joes, Whole Foods or the San Francisco Flower Mart.

To avoid them drying out too quickly I spray down all the fresh greens every morning with a basic spray bottle filled with water. I posted a video of this on my Instagram and got a ton of questions. I do spray the lights and ornaments – it is just a simple mist that will not ruin anything but helps to keep the tree fresh!

We have collected quite the odd assortment of Christmas ornaments, but I love how it is a mix of simple globe shapes and a lot of animals (Daniel’s favorite!) Other items we put around the house are small accents such as mini trees, holiday scented candles, and a lot of cozy blankets. Some of my favorite places to get Christmas or holiday decor are One Kings Lane, Target, Amazon and McGee & Co.

Hey! Just wondering where your sectional couch is from? Love the colour.
