Just like my love for English interiors, I have been very inspired by Belgian interiors as of late – particularly the work of Walda Pairon. I mean.. her kitchen is my life goal! I am so drawn to Belgian style because of the heavy use of raw materials. Think an abundance of wood, varying shades of linen and stone in addition to plastered walls. This style is also responsible for the Empire lamp shade that has become increasingly popular over the last few years. These spaces tend to be more minimalist and let the materials speak for themself, especially in the case of masters Axel Vervoordt and Atelier AM, but I love that there are cozier takes on it as well.
