The holidays will be here before we know it, which is honestly a bit hard to believe. While I have built out my gift shop pages this year I also wanted to do a specific guide highlighting some of my favorite small businesses and makers to support this season. As we all know, small businesses have struggled greatly during the pandemic so this season I am trying to be a lot more mindful about where I shop. Some of them can have longer lead times, so for once I am getting a gift guide out early. I want to be done with my shopping before December even rolls around!
I spend a lot of time in the kitchen so I was very happy to discover this local olive oil brand. They make my favorite balsamic vinegar and lemon flavored olive oil. Such wonderful flavoring and the branding makes it a beautiful gift.
You all know by now this is one of my go to spots for speciality items such as vintage French crocks or pretty antique dishware. Every piece feels so perfectly curated.
With gorgeous color options and fun details like “the best is yet to come” embroidered on the back of the collar, these silky Pj sets are so fun. They also cary robes and nightgowns.
Custom Lamp Shade
I know a lampshade might seem like an odd gift to give, but it was all I wanted for my birthday and I can’t say enough good things about Cruel Mountain. You have seen their designs on my patterned mini lamp shade and scalloped raffia shade. They add so much character and dress up lighting perfectly.
Jayson Home is one of my go to places to shop online for home decor. They have such a great selection of old and new. I also love that they carry a large array of Astier de Villatte pieces.
LYNDSAY REBECCA SHOP
Now that I am fully embracing color and pattern again, this shop is one of my favorite sources. Lyndsay had such a great collection of vintage and new with most pillow covers under $100.
Another one of my favorite local companies, Rough linen makes all of their beautiful products right here in Marin! Their quality linen (in a great array of colors) is used for everything from napkins, tablecloths and bedding.
TINY ZEN MEMORY
One of my favorite places for special dainty jewelry like a name or initial necklace. They are easy to customize which makes for very thoughtful gifts.
JUSTICE OF THE PIES
Fresh homemade pie as a gift? Yes please! At Justice of the Pies you can order pie (such as caramel apple crumble) to be delivered directly to you or a loved one.
Grain sack textiles
I have always been a sucker for a good grain sack textile, so when I found these stockings on Etsy – I had to have them. Cottage Designs also carries pillows, aprons and napkins.
FERPIE AND FRAY
A sweet follower sent me the spiced pear scented candle last year and it is SO GOOD! At $20 for an 8oz. jar these are very budget friendly. I also love the pumpkin and apple harvest for the holidays.
TREACLE & BLUSH
The cutest holiday cards and paper goods such as gift tags and wrapping paper.
