Ina Garten’s East Hampton kitchen is bar none my ultimate dream kitchen. I have been saving images of her “barn” for years as it personifies an inviting kitchen design. I love the warmth of the putty wall color, the dark soapstone countertops and the simplistic yet perfectly placed accents. When it comes to kitchen designs, I have always preferred timeless over on trend and this Belgian inspired space feels as though it would never go out of style. Of course most of us don’t have an expansive kitchen island large enough for two oversized lamps, but there are so many elements Ina uses throughout that can be replicated even in the smallest of apartment kitchens. She has inspired the way I approach the kitchen pieces I buy and is likely responsible for my ever growing collection of classic white serving dishes.
