Sunday Wrap Up

Things Of Note This Past Week

It was so nice to get out of the apartment this weekend and get a little dressed up. I have essentially been living in sweatpants and pajamas for the past month and fall is my favorite time of year for dressing, so this felt extra special. I had been waiting to wear this satin skirt and sweater – I love the combination of a thicker knit with a silky material, especially in these hues. Mango has so many great pieces right now and is running a flash sale, so I also got this pretty brown knit button jacket. I also finally ordered these silk pants that I know I will be wearing on repeat for the rest of the year – especially dressed up for the holidays in lieu of a dress.

I know Adidas are everywhere and have been very on trend the last few years, but they will always be a classic in my eyes. I wear my Gazelle’s the most, but I had been eyeing this darker version of the classic samba and finally decided to purchase. They go with everything and I love the contrast!

Y’all know how much I love Ina Garten, so I am very excited to read her new memoir. I also got Leanne Ford’s new book, The Slow Down and it is stunning!

In the kitchen: I don’t know what it is about this time of year, but I crave spending more time in the kitchen. Autumn is all about cozier meals at home and with the start of a new season, I like to add in a few new pieces that make everyday cooking feel a bit more special. I love how something as simple as an oil cruet or new dishtowels can elevate a little corner and make spending time in the kitchen more enjoyable. I recently bought this beautiful bowl and love the subtle texture and unique square round shape. Pieces like that, which are pretty and functional are what I always gravitate towards!
