Brass Faucets

When we replaced our kitchen sink and faucet last year I was on the hunt for an unlacquered brass bridge faucet that wasn’t too pricey. I had lusted after a few versions from Rohl and Waterworks for years, but until we have our dream kitchen I didn’t want to invest much into this. I wasn’t able to find anything last year that had the gooseneck shape and unlacquered finish I was after, so when I stumbled upon this Etsy shop over the summer – I was thrilled!

I was able to work with them to create a custom size faucet that fits perfectly into our space. As you know, our kitchen is small so I wanted to make sure it wasn’t too tall that it felt overpowering. I went with 18″ from the base to the top of the neck and the width was standard for our sink holes. I also wanted a straight leg bridge opposed to a curved. Daniel had some issues getting it installed, but the shop was able to send out a replacement part very quickly to fix the leak. We have had it for months now and I have been so happy with the water pressure and the overall look is exactly what I wanted. The finish is definitely unlacquered, so it has already started to patina and gets very water spotted – which I love! It makes the brass soften over time and appear far less shiny than when you first get it.

I kept the previous faucet which I will put back on when we move out because I will definitely take the brass one with me!
