Collection Review: Serena and Lily

I get asked a lot of furniture review type questions about pieces I have currently or have had in the past, so when Serena & Lily asked me to review some of their pieces I have owned over the years, I was so happy to. In fact I love this idea so much, I want to do it with more pieces, so you have a place to reference in the future if you are interested in getting the same. Serena & Lily is still one of my go to resources because their collections are incredibly classic, but also have a cool factor to them and truly everything I have ever purchased or received as a gift has been great quality. A lot of their pieces (especially furniture) are more of an investment, but you can immediately tell the difference in overall construction, beautiful finishes and luxe materiality from bedding to throw pillows. You can see some of my top picks below and always feel free to ask about anything in particular!

Pierson Wide Dresser

This is the priciest piece I own from Serena & Lily, but it is honestly so well made. I don’t think I have ever owned a dresser where the drawers pull out seamlessly and the bottoms don’t eventually snap from being too overfilled. This functions like the day I got it and I love the brass detailing on the handles and legs. It is also much shorter than other dressers I have had which feels perfect in our small bedroom.

*Keep in mind this often goes on sale when they have 20% sitewide sales.

Teak Ladder Mirror

I got this mirror a couple of years ago and it is still a staple in my bedroom. It is so heavy and leans perfectly against the wall without any warping in the mirror. The wood finish is so pretty and doesn’t yellow over time.

Bedding

Serena & Lily makes one of my favorite percale bedding collections – Beach Club (previously Portofino which is now discontinued). They are so soft and have that classic crisp white bedding look. Another go to Duvet Cover and Shams is the Positano Linen Collection (shown above in the Eucalyptus color- also seen in my apartment in white). I love the stitching detail which makes these feel a little more interesting than a completely plain linen set. They get softer with every wash and are perfect to use all year long.

Sonoma Bath Towels

I have tried A LOT of bath towels and inevitably always come back to these. They are so fluffy and hold up after a ton of washes. The fibers don’t start to unravel, which is a big one for me when paying a higher price tag for bath towels.

South Seas Side Cart

Besides my dresser, this bar cart is the most asked about S&L piece I’ve owned. I loved this bar cart so much and eventually parted with it only because it never really fit properly in our entryway (stuck out too much in the path). It was very well made and served more as a decorative piece than a bar cart, which makes it very versatile. The rattan is so classic and quite durable. For size reference, I had the smaller side cart. I would totally buy this again!
