I have been in love with farmhouses for as long as I can remember. Despite being born and raised in California, I have had a long affinity for East Coast and English style farmhouse that are filled with all the charming details. Lately I have been trying to make small changes to our apartment. I am sure you have seen in photos of our kitchen or bedroom that I am eager to neutralize everything and create more calming spaces that are filed with a minimal color palette and beautiful textures like soft linens. I always look to farmhouses for inspiration even though the style of our apartment is far from that. I love how so many farmhouses are very layered yet simplistic and rely on a few classic pieces that stand out and makes them feel instantly homey.
