This installment of design crush is dedicated to one of my all time favorite interior designers and stylists – Darryl Carter. His approach is so simplistic yet incredibly thoughtful. Every piece is perfectly executed (down to the smallest details) which makes his style feel very intentional and unique. The combination of neutral, rustic materiality like varying woods, linen and leather play so well with more decorative pieces like giant Empire mirrors or oversized sculpture. There isn’t a lot of fluff or filler. Many of his spaces don’t have rugs or pillows or anything on the table, but the proportions of what he chooses and how it is all layered, never looks unfinished. He truly is a design genius and such a big source of inspiration.
