I have such a big design crush on South African based designer Gregory Mellor because his use of materiality is unparalleled. The way he combines pattern, texture, wood tones and design styles appears so seamless and in turn creates incredibly layered and thoughtful spaces. I am always so impressed by designers that have the ability to layer without anything looking too cluttered or heavy. Gregory’s interiors look so lived in, almost as if they have been around for decades. Even his stunning hotel designs (dying to stay here) feel so inviting and homey.
