Dinnerware & Serveware

On my future home list a dreamy kitchen is top priority. It doesn’t have to be massive, but something with enough storage space for all of my glassware and serving pieces. Over the past few years I have gotten really into collecting cool pieces for entertaining such as bowls, serving trays or etched champagne coups. We don’t have a lot of storage especially in the kitchen, so I put all my special pieces in my glass front Ikea Billy. The cabinet isn’t very styled, but I love seeing the collected accents arranged together through the glass. I was recently asked what some of my favorite dinnerware and/or serveware is, so I thought I would share what I get the most use out of. You can also check out my entertaining shop page for more ideas!

Large Serving Bowl: I reach for a large serving bowl more than most pieces. I use them for salads which I try to make twice a week. A big bowl of pasta when having people over or even as a centerpiece on a table filled with fresh citrus.

Textured Vases: So this is more of an entertaining accent, but you all know by now how much I love vases. The whole top shelf of my kitchen cabinet is vases in varying heights and textures. I love something solid at a low height for a chic tablescape. They also look great on the coffee table if you are like me and don’t have a dining table when entertaining!

Linen Napkins: I have an entire basket filled with linen napkins in varying tones. I get them at all different price points and they always add a pretty layer to even the simplest of meals.

Round Serving Boards: (leather handle board) My favorite kitchen item to collect! These are great for entertaining or dinner for two. I use them to make cheese boards, or just bring out bread to the table. I love having a collection of different sizes and also use my marble board to hold kitchen items such as olive oil or as a cheese board.

Pitchers: I never realized how useful a good pitcher was until I starting having people over more often. I have a couple on hand for water or even making a mixed drink in the warmer months.

Sabre Flatware: This is the one item I knew I wanted to register for and I am so happy we did. We got the bone color which is a little hard to find (can get it here), but I love the ivory and this. The flatware is so well made and serves as our everyday utensils. It somehow makes eating a regular dinner feel a little more fancy.

Riedel Wine Glasses: My favorite wine glasses for red or white. I especially love the shape and feel of the new world pinot noir glasses.

Salt & Pepper Wells: Having loose salt and pepper out on the table or easily accessible in the kitchen is a game changer. I love fresh cracked pepper, but when making large meals being able to spoon pepper into a dish is so much easier.

Other pieces I use often – Classic White Dinnerware, Small Bowls (all the time), Good Steak Knives, Candle Sticks, A Solid Wine Opener
