In a recent Instagram Q&A I was asked about my favorite entertaining pieces and go to serveware I have on hand. Although we live in a very small apartment, I have amassed a nice collection of entertaining staples that makes it much easier to host small get togethers. Of course I dream of having a cabinet filled with different tablescape options, but I have found keeping it simple with some elevated everyday accents such as flatware and glasses, makes the transition from everyday eating to hosting in a small space much easier. My longtime favorite shop Hudson Grace carries the best classic platters and vases that feel really timeless and special, so I always have a few of those on hand. See more favorites below!

Tablecloths
shop
We don’t even have a dining table, but a simple tablecloth instantly dresses up my coffee table or sideboard when entertaining. I love this inexpensive stripe, especially for spring/summer and I always add more to my Entertaining page.

Petite Wine Glasses
shop
Similar in style to the French wine glass, these hand blown white wine glasses are the perfect petite size for small pours. Beautiful weight and style!

Au Gratin Bakers
shop
A forever kitchen staple! I use gratin dishes for cooking (potatoes, mac & cheese, etc.) because they make great small scale share dishes with smaller groups or just two. The classic design also makes them wonderful for little serving dishes.

{My vase is years old from H&M Home, but I love and prefer the coloring of the the classic Astier de Villatte pieces}

Candle Hurricanes
shop
Another accent I seem to collect for their timeless look – glass candle hurricanes. I love this Simon Pearce style since it can also be used as a vase and is so beautifully made. Other one pictured is by Privet House (I have the small) and I love these glass tea light lamps.

Vintage Ice Bucket
shop
The charm of a vintage silver ice bucket! So classic and functional. I love how these look when not in use too, just sitting pretty on a shelf.
