Fresh Home Accents

I am so grateful for spring, now more than ever. The shift in season has helped get me out of a creative (and mental) funk. I have been going to the farmers’ market on Sundays and the past two weeks they have had gorgeous bundles of fresh lilacs. Nothing like the scent of these flowers for an instant mood boost. I have been spending more time outside and making rest a priority and not an indulgent luxury. It truly does make such a difference to slow down and enjoy the little things.

Since I am trying to set more money aside for a home, I am making a conscious effort not to buy as much for our apartment this year. I made a simple budget in January to only buy two home purchases per month (or less). So far it has been working really well and I find myself buying timeless pieces I am excited about that I will have for years to come. I have said this so many times, but after a wave of busy projects, I am excited to start spending more time on here. After last year I had a hard time “getting back into it” and felt a bit disconnected for a while. However, this blog really does bring me so much joy and I love sharing that with all of you. Have a beautiful week!

A Simple Scent Swap

One of the simple changes I make when a new season rolls around is swapping out the scents in our apartment. I prefer woodsier and cozy aromas in the winter months, but come spring – I want more citrus, floral, overall lighter.
