Happy New Year!

I truly love a fresh start and always anticipate a new year for a slew of reasons. It feels like a perfect reset and a time to change up anything that wasn’t working in the previous year. Although I don’t make specific resolutions, I like to start off with a clear space and a clear mind – sifting through anything I don’t want to hold on to and collecting new inspiration for the year ahead. I like to sort through my Pinterest boards and even make a physical mood board to get me excited. I started a New Year shop filled with some of my favorite staples and simple wellness additions and wanted to share a few more favorites below. Happy New Year!!

Wardrobe Staple
Classic Oxford

This past year I found myself living in classic button up oxford shirts. I just purchased this inexpensive blue option and I love the slightly oversized cut for a relaxed look. They are great for layering under a sweater or throwing over a t shirt or dress. As I cleaned out my closet this week I realized true wardrobe staples never tire and only get better with time. Much more thoughtful purchasing in 2023!

Candle I’m Burning
Budget Friendly Grapefruit Basil

I am always on the hunt for a good budget friendly candle since most of my favorites tend to be quite pricy. I have been so happy with this fresh scent, especially in the kitchen. It isn’t overtly fruity and just lightens up the air – perfect change of pace from my woodsier winter candles.

Inspiration
At Home In The Cotswolds

My favorite way of collecting inspiration will always be design books. I like to get a new one at the start of the year and just purchased this beauty. The Cotswolds are one of the prettiest places I have visited and this book brings instant comfort.

Home Additions
Vintage Runner

One of the first things I want to switch up this year is the vintage runner in our little hallway. I love a vintage rug for high traffic areas because they already tend to be weathered and faded, yet still hold up incredibly well. Plus they add so much character!

The Perfect Accent
Leather Bag

I have been eyeing incredibly simple and classic bags and this one is at the top of my list for under $300. I love something that can be worn crossbody or top handle – so much versatility and the buckle detail on the side adds the perfect amount of interest.

Can’t Stop Making
Crispy Shallots

I often get stuck on certain foods and can’t stop adding them to an array of dishes. Lately I have been all about crispy shallots. They are the perfect accent on everything from salads, to burrata, and even a pizza. So simple and SO delicious. For Christmas I did burrata, crispy shallots, thyme, fresh pomegranate seeds, arugula, sea salt, pepper and fresh bread… so good!
