Kitchen Dreams; It’s Complicated

If you have been here for a while you are well versed on my complete obsession with Nancy Meyers movie interiors. Specifically the uber-cozy Belgian and French inspired home in It’s Complicated. The kitchen seems to be a favorite for so many (including myself) despite the fact at first glance it is quite unfiltered and almost messy. The charm lies in the fact that it looks like a real home and when you break down the layers there is so much functional visual eye candy to swoon over. The good news for the rest of us – you can achieve this warm kitchen vibe, no matter what your space looks like, with a few key components. Even if it’s just a bowl of citrus or pretty white dishes on display.

As a little girl I remeber watching movies like Father of the Bride and thinking, what a pretty home. One day I want a home like that. Her movies are always a reference for me when decorating.
