My Favorite Time Of Year

I have mentioned on here a few times, but over this past year I have slowly been reworking our apartment and not sharing many photos of it. It is not drastically different by any means, but for a long time it felt like a revolving door of new pieces that I liked, but didn’t love long term. I have been taking my time with sourcing and investing in pieces I truly love. I have to say the difference is overwhelming. For the first time this really feels like our home and while it will never be “done” or completely what I want (hi budgeting and rental living, ha!) it feels more collected and layered. I will be sharing a mini tour of sorts next week, but I am so excited for this time of year and holiday decorating to begin shortly.

We were in India at the beginning of last December which made my holiday decorating more thrown together than normal. The holidays are going to be very different this year with large family gatherings and events put on hold, so I am even more excited to make our home feel extra special and cozy. Until then I know a few of you were asking about the updated paint color in the hallway and the living room. I finally went back to color, which I was hesitant to do because I may have to paint everything white before we move out. I have honestly painted so many times I have gotten pretty fast at it! I love having the deep green in the entry and the perfect touch of color in the living room. It feels warm, but not too overwhelming in the warmer months. I will touch on this more when I share additional photos, but here is the hallway paint information.

It is a Benjamin Moore color match of Farrow & Ball’s Ball Green (No.75) They did such a great job with the match and it is so much cheaper – ideal in a rental. Around $40 a gallon compared to $110. The trim is what we had before (Benjamin Moore Super White) I just freshened it up a bit and I love how it pops against the green. After a much needed break (or twelve), it feels good to be back on here. More to come soon!

Also on heavy rotation – my new mules from Jenni Kayne. I had the cheetah print already, but I can’t get enough of this gorgeous saddle color! I have also been living in my Eco Boyfriend Sweater. I love a good slouchy fit. Remember you can get 20% off your order with my code CHRISSY20!
