Natural fiber accents will always be one of my favorite additions to a room or my wardrobe. The offset of a beautiful warm texture can add so much without trying too hard. The cane trend is still going strong and while I love it, anything that gets too popular can start to get a little redundant. Other natural fibers like jute, sisal and raffia have the persona of being “beachy” but when incorporated into the right scene can be just what a room needed and have such a classic feel. Starting small with a relaxed jute basket or rug or even a cool mirror or lamp provides a softness that often can’t be achieved with other materials.
