Oversized Art

One of the more common questions I get asked when it comes to artwork is where to get oversized pieces for larger wall coverage. Whether over a fireplace or a sofa, we are often searching of that perfect large piece of art that doesn’t come with the 10K+ price tag of more gallery style options. For the most part, large pieces of framed art tend to be an investment and many of the pieces we see and love throughout home tours are incredibly pricy. However there are some great online options now and I love sourcing larger vintage pieces at flea markets, garage sales or thrift shops. If you can get an inexpensive piece unframed I highly recommend custom framing. Although it makes the total price go up quite a bit, it can be much cheaper than other art and can make all the difference in overall look. I also love the look of framed or unframed textiles if you have a lot of space to cover or even creating something simple yourself on an oversized canvas. (source above)
