Summer used to be the bane of my existence. That sounds dramatic and unheard of, but for some reason I just couldn’t bring myself to love the warmest season. I suppose I have always longed for cozy, crisp days and find comfort in less heat. Since the weather by The Bay is fairly mild most of the year, having temperatures creep into the high 90s just never did it for me. However, in more recent years I have started to change my outlook on this time of year and am now quite fond of it. There is a peacefulness that comes along with summer months and all of the time I spend outside. A slowness to longer balmy weekends and clocking a lot of pool time wherever and whenever I can. I love heading up to the Fairmont Mission Inn in Sonoma just to use the pool for an afternoon. It is the perfect little respite and always feels like a getaway!
