I am always moving pieces around our apartment and switching up decor, but when a new season is coming into play I get even more antsy. Especially in spring when the weather is beautiful, I like to go through our apartment and take stock of what I am really into and what no longer inspires me. There is a lightness that comes with the season, so I like to incorporate pieces that feel unique and beautiful, but soft. Something as simple as rose branches in a heavy glass vase can completely transform an otherwise mundane shelf.
I am excited to continue swapping out pieces and because I get this question all the time, that doesn’t mean what I want to replace is poorly made or there is something wrong with it. My space is essentially part of my job, so I switch things up more often than an average person would. I like to play around and test out new pieces before I speak to them. I have also talked a lot about simplifying in general and investing in nicer pieces. When we first moved into this apartment I had just turned twenty six and since I will be turning thirty this fall, I realized so much has changed in the last few years. My style is constantly evolving and I enjoy finding nicer pieces that I will have for years to come opposed to quick fixes!
