It is (almost) officially spring! I absolutely love this time of year for more reasons than just the sunny weather. Spring feels like the perfect time to kick start a lot, especially around the house. I have been wanting to make some updates to our bedroom for a while specifically with the rug. I love the jute we had before, but unfortunately Norman (our cat) liked to sink his claws into the weave and it no longer looked great.

I decided when we got a new rug it would be the perfect time to do a deep clean of our bedroom. We had to take the mattress out to get the rug under the bed so for the first time in forever I was able to clean the baseboards and thoroughly mop the floors. It feels so therapeutic to go through items under the bed and start a new season with a really clean space.

I have fallen in love with our new rug from Lulu & Georgia! The subtle pattern works so well with all of the neutrals in the room and makes the whole space feel brighter and cozier. I love that this rug is woven with viscose so it is a lot softer under foot than the jute was.
