Sunday Wrap Up

Things Of Note This Past Week

I posted this all over Instagram because I am far too excited for a candle release, so I also had to share here. Diptyque finally brought back one of my favorite candles of all time, Biscuit. This was a limited scent from their holiday collection in 2021 and I instantly fell hard for the gourmand fragrence that feels like a cozy baking moment, but not too sweet and not at all artificial. Of course it sold out so quickly last time and I even messaged Diptyque to ask if they were ever getting it back. Much to my surprise when I walked into the boutique to get a birthday gift last week they told me they were re releasing Biscuit in a limited collection with other café inspired scents. I know it sadly won’t last forever so I scooped up a bunch (and already lit one), but can’t wait to also burn this all fall/winter for extreme coziness. Highly recommend!

I have been finding my skin a bit on drier side lately as the weather changes, so I wanted to try a new hydrating sheet mask. I have been so happy with the Dr. Jart masks I have used in the past and these Skin Barrier masks had great reviews. They did not disappoint! My skin looked and felt dewy and didn’t make me break out which is always a bonus. I already ordered more for dull skin days!

We are headed to Hawaii in two weeks and my very pale skin desperately needed a little pick me up. I pulled out my gradual tan lotion which is one of my favorite self tanners to use before a trip. The consistency is very thin and slightly watery, so I like to mix it with my regular lotion as I find it applies better. This is completely buildable so I start with a little and find it looks the most natural after a few applications. Right before I leave I apply a little St. Tropez tanner as a final touch.

I shared on Instagram that I have been trying to be better about putting easy shops together with updated links. Of course I have a lot of various shops on the blog which you can easily browse, but not every link is current. So in the meantime, I have been saving links to various pieces I have been shopping and pieces seen throughout my apartment on ShopMy. There you can also find my Hawaii Packing List with everything I am bringing and some similar pieces to the sold out ones.

If you are looking for a good spring sweet treat, I make this lemon pound cake every year (this year for Easter) and it makes me so happy. The smell of fresh lemon zest and sugar can’t be beat on a sunny morning and I love that the recipe makes two loaves – great to give as a gift and keep one for yourself!
