Sunday Wrap Up

I just got home from a little getaway to New England and truly can’t remember the last time I felt this content. Fall and the start of the holidays is always the happiest time of year for me, but getting to spend some time in nature with real seasonal change felt like a giant mental and physical reset. With the welcome colder weather, I relished in every single moment from vibrant leaves falling to an unexpected snowy morning. The simplicity of quiet country roads, cozy meals and time with people I love.

Things Of Note This Past Week

I will be detailing my trip in a coming post, but had to share my favorite Vermont cheddar since I already bought more online for Thanksgiving. Daniel and I visited Sugarbush Farm a few years ago on a trip to Woodstock, Vermont and knew we had to go back this trip. Their creamy mellow cheddar is my favorite – I made my go to white cheddar & sage mac and cheese while we were there, recipe here, which I always make as a Thanksgiving side dish.

The Marché Holiday Marketplace is happening next Saturday, November 11 from 10am – 4pm at The Bridge Yard in Oakland and I can’t wait to see some of you there! This event sponsored by the incredible brand, Frank & Eileen is a great chance to do some holiday shopping and see pieces by a curated group of women-owned brands. You can purchase tickets here.

I have been on a bit of a hat kick lately, especially because New England was in the low 30’s most days. I bought this cashmere beanie I had been eyeing forever and it did not disappoint! It is so soft and cozy, I already want to buy it in another color. I also bought this cute baseball hat at the Orvis store, the green color and vintage vibe is so good!

I have been a fan of Brianna Wiest’s writing and books for a while and just purchased The Pivot Year with daily inspirations in her wonderful succinct style.

Cozy socks are a must when the weather gets cooler and these are my favorite cashmere feel crew socks. I have them in multiple colorways and layer with my slippers for extra warmth. They would make a great inexpensive holiday gift too!

My latest obsession: Cozy Bear Jackets
