Sunday Wrap Up

Things Of Note This Past Week

I have been using Sisal Rugs Direct for years as a go to source for natural fiber rugs, especially in custom cut sizes. I recently upgraded my living room room to the Dorado in color Edgewood, which is the same one I have had in my kitchen and often get asked about. The sisal is such a great quality, sheds very minimally and softens a lot over time as the fibers relax. The low pile makes the room feel bigger and it is super durable!

My Holiday Gift Shops are now live! I have so much fun putting these together every year and add a ton of pieces I own and love. I am still putting together my small business shop, but all the other guides are up.

This is a bit of an odd one and is not sponsored, but I have struggled to find a good razor for years. I have developed really sensitive skin and my tried and true Venus was causing my legs to get very very itchy in the days following shaving. It was not working for me anymore, so I started looking into other options and after trying a few settled on the Athena Club which is great for sensitive skin. I have been using it for months and am honestly shocked I have had no inflammation or itching, its amazing! I also use their shaving cream and the combo makes my skin so soft.

Every year I do a fresh garland on my sideboard for Christmas, but often get asked about lit faux options. My mom also decided she wanted to go the faux route on her fireplace mantle because the fresh dries out too quickly, so I sent her this pretty pine option. She did a 6′ and a 10′ and will connect in the middle. The quality is great, the LED lights are very warm and it does look quite realistic. I also like that they are on a battery pack so you could place it anywhere. If you are in the market for a fresh garland, this is incredibly dreamy!

There is going to be a ton of sales going on in the coming weeks which can be a bit overwhelming, so I am only going to share in very small doses. I just noticed all Dragon Diffusion is 25% off at Farfetch right now in addition to some other great investment pieces. My favorite is the Large Nantucket and the Small Triple Jump. SpaceNK is also doing 20% off almost everything which is always when I stock up on my more investment skincare like Suzanne Kaufman and Augustinus Bader.

I try and only purchase pieces for my wardrobe that are a staple I lack. I also have an ongoing list in the notes app with pieces I would like to purchase when shopping so I don’t get too distracted by items I don’t actually need. One of the closet voids I have noticed as the weather has gotten cooler is a classic jacket. I have a plethora of coats, but shorter jackets you can easily throw over a dress or a t shirt have always been hard for me to find. I am busty, so a lot of styles can look a bit too boxy for me and I end up just forgoing them altogether. Sure enough some event comes up where I wish I had a jacket to layer as the finishing touch. I don’t seem to have this problem as much in the spring/summer months as I love a denim jacket, especially my go to, but for something with a bit more texture I have been mulling over these options!
