A Fresh Start 2019

I’ll be honest, as much as I look forward to the new year I can often have mixed feelings about the holidays ending and trying to get back into a working state of mind. I have been sick since the day after Christmas so I feel particularly lethargic this year, but I decided I wanted to change things up a bit and ease into 2019.

I love the idea of a fresh start, but that doesn’t mean it has to be full speed ahead checking things off left and right. I am happy we were able to take all of our holiday decor down and I have been spending a lot of time on the back end of the blog trying to organize content and build out my shop pages, making them easier for all of you!

I am excited for 2019. I really do feel a wave of change coming on and I look forward to the places I will go personally and professionally. I want to spend more time bringing this space back to what I set out to do. I don’t want everything to be so stylized, cookie cutter or polished. I want to publish more of my own photos, spend more time writing and sharing what I love most. Blogging can often feel like a machine generating content. It can start to lose some of the soul it once had, so with the new year on the horizon I am setting out to share more of stripped down moments and everything I am truly inspired by.

We already have some fun trips on the books, but I also want to spend a lot more time exploring Marin and the city to share what I love most about the bay area. I hope you all have a fantastic New Year.. I will be lounging on the couch fully invested in the Taylor Swift Reputation tour on Netflix!

Here’s to a beautiful 2019!
