A great coffee table can make such a big impact on a living space. If the sizing is a little off or the material clashes with the others in the room it starts to sick out for the the wrong reasons. I mostly gravitate towards a stone like marble with a metal base or a classic wood table. There are some glass and acrylic tables that look great as well, especially when the overall design is more simplistic.
