Cozy Home Essentials

When we were in Maine last year we stayed at the Marston House, the most charming carriage house bed and breakfast I’ve ever been to. The room was small, but invoked this sense of coziness that was ideal for a cold and rainy autumn day in Maine. The decor was simple and minimal, but the roaring fireplace and textures made me feel so at ease and gave off major farmhouse vibes. When fall rolls around, the mornings and evenings can get a little chilly in Sausalito so I am always looking for pieces to keep me warm and make our apartment feel cozier. I am drawn to things that are simple in nature, but that I look forward to coming home to. It can be something as small as a great canvas grocery bag on a hook in our entry or a gorgeous vintage rug that instantly warms up a room.
