For The Love Of Cabinets

There are many things I look forward to when I dream of having a bigger living space such as a kitchen with more room or outdoor space, but there is one very specific piece I have been dreaming of for years – an antique cabinet or armoire. For as far back as I can remember, cabinets have been my favorite piece of furniture. I always wanted one in my childhood bathroom with glass doors to see the towels (do you think I went into the right profession??) And even had a glass front in my teenage bedroom filled with shoes and trinkets. It could be a vintage French Armoire or textured Swedish – I think they add so much character to any room and will always be incredibly timeless! (source above)

I have an amorie that was originally part of my grandparents bedroom furniture in the 1940’s. It’s been painted many times (currently a dark navy), and has recently gotten new brass hardware. It doesn’t hold much, but the cedar lining keeps things beautifully. I don’t know if I could ever get rid of it. 🥰
