When a new year rolls around I like to do a closet clean out. I do it at the start of every season, but those are more of a slight edit whereas January is a big purge. I find it easier to part with pieces this time of year when I want to create space for staples instead of filler. I really have changed my approach to shopping over the years and gravitate towards more timeless investment pieces, but I still end up with items that don’t suit my style anymore, don’t fit or that I never actually wear as much as I tell myself I am going to. I also feel like I am rediscovering my personal style and want to play around with that a lot more. With the new year I do like to replenish tried and true pieces that are looking a little worse for wear, so I did buy a few more of my favorite pocket tee. I have these in black, grey and white and they just work! With jeans, a trouser or a skirt – they are so comfortable and flattering even though they are more of a boxy cut. I also purchased another pair of the A. Soliani flats I live in. This time I went with the light denim/black for a cool spring look!
