If you have been following me for a while now you know I get on these kicks when it comes to what I am inspired by. I don’t know if I have been watching too much Downton Abbey lately, but recently I can not get enough of the English countryside. I am so drawn to the layered farmhouse interiors that scream cozy and eclectic.

I daydream about owning a little farm with gardens of fresh flowers (sigh!) Until then I want to start incorporating more of the pretty patterns and textures of the country into my own apartment. Even though I live in California I love the blend of styles and seeing how traditional staples can be done in a new way. A few of my favorite books I have been drawing inspiration from lately are India Hicks: A Slice of England, Veere Grenney and Amanda Brooks Farm From Home.

I also can’t seem to get enough of a subtle rose scent. Williams Sonoma just released their English Rose fragrance so I immediately scooped up everything before it was gone. Now I am in desperate need of some fluffy English garden roses and pink peonies.
