Things Of Note This Past Week

I have naturally very thick, wavy hair and don’t often heat style it, so I am always looking for products that tame the frizz and make it look less unruly. I have been using Oribe’s Matte Waves for years and love how it smooths everything out without weighting it down. It also smells so good! I recently added JVN’s Air Dry Cream to the repertoire which I use after towel drying post shower. The reviews on this were so mixed, but I decided to purchase the mini bottle and really do think it helps combat frizz and dry more relaxed.

Another beauty item I switched up is my lipstick. As much as I love lipsticks, I tend to stick with the same few hues and don’t add new options often. However, when I saw one of my favorite makeup brands Westman Atelier launched a new collection I immediately ordered. Of course the quality is incredible – so soft and hydrating! I got the color Minx for a punchy pink because I wanted something fun for summer and I also want to order Le Rouge for the perfect shade of red.

I seem to go through basic tee shirts like it is a full time job. I do purchase some higher end styles for going out, but for lounging at home I much prefer something very cheap. Inevitably they get stained when I am cooking, so it is nice to not stress about replacing them. I live in these long sleeve Hanes tees which are not the most luxe quality, but are SO comfy and for $12 you can’t go wrong!

Madewell recently released their leather trim straw tote that looks verrrry similar to the popular Khaite Osa tote. I like that the Madewell option comes in both a black and brown trim option – so chic and a great price point!

I have been wearing these Dissh sandals non stop lately as they tend to go with everything and are so comfortable! I also ordered this less expensive style before settling on the others and liked them a lot too – I just found the toe strap on the others to be a littlemore comfortable.
