I know shades of black are not often associated with spring and summer, but over the years it has become one of my favorite hues for warm weather dresses. Of course I don’t live in the hottest of climates, but even when traveling I always pack a black dress (or two) because they don’t get dirty like white sun dresses and I find them so flattering with woven accents like a hat or bag. Black always feels pulled together and is classic for a reason. I recently purchased this casual style for our trip to Hawaii and like that it can be worn more as a breezy cover up or dressed up for dinner. Black dresses are so easy to layer with a sweater or denim jacket over the shoulder or simply on their own.
