Sunday Wrap Up

Things Of Note This Past Week

I share a lot of posts on Instagram stories and always feel redundant posting the same links here, but SO much get missed because we all view content differently and at different times. A big note from this weekend – I am so excited to finally be selling my all time favorite glass vase in my shop after years of being asked about it. It is hands down the one I use the most and has the best timeless shape! It also holds heavier branches and florals up beautifully.

My IG friend, Rachel (@scouthouse) always has the best book recommendations. I recently started reading The Comfort Crisis after she raved about it and could instantly see why. It breaks down how our overly comfortable lives have slowly changed our physical and mental health.

Some of you may remember I had a plush Parachute quilt at the end of my bed for years. Sadly after a dry cleaning mishap that ruined the color, I donated the quilt and never replaced it. However, I recently got the Organic Airy Gauze Quilt from Quince (essentially the dupe of Parachute) and was so surprised at how similar the quality is. This one isn’t double sided and the color is closer to the dark side of the Parachute version, but overall it feels so similar and has such a great weight.

Another link I shared on stories this past weekend was for my Mango Padlock Bag which instantly got a few inquiries. I never used to buy bags from fast fashion stores because I really don’t like the look of most faux leathers or inexpensive hardware, but this looked very similar to Celine so I wanted to see it in person. I absolutely love the shape and style and was pleasantly surprised at the material. It has a bit of a sheen because it isn’t a soft or supple leather, but for $80 it looks very chic and more high end!

It is hard to believe October is nearing an end, which means Thanksgiving and December will be here before we know it. This time of year always feels like the start of party season with all of the various holiday events. I love getting dressed up for different occasions and it always feels like a great excuse to wear a bit of sparkle. I started putting together my Party Shop page, as I have seen so many pretty festive dresses and shoes as of late.

Hello, Chrissy! Thank you for the posts here. I deleted my Instagram account a year ago, so I really do enjoy your content. When I am relaxing, I often come to your blog and look around the shops and your blog. So much beautiful inspiration! 💕

    • Thank you so much for saying that Melissa! And for letting me know about Instagram, I often use that as a default, but so nice to know it is being enjoyed here as well. I hope you have a wonderful week!
