Welcome 2022!

Happy New Year friends! I hope you all had a lovely holiday and got to enjoy a bit of down time amid all of the chaos the holiday season can bring. I am slowly climbing out of the vacation hole I dug for myself, but it feels great to start a new year off with a clear mind. I am excited to get back into the swing of things around here and really do feel inspired to create new content after a bit of a lull over the past two years. I’m kicking off the year with a new monthly series and coordinating shop page called the January Edit. I will be adding to the edit throughout the month with products I love or new things I have tried.

For me, January always feels like a fresh start – a chance to bring in a new mindset while carrying some of the coziness over from the holidays. It has been cold and rainy around here (which is nice to have an actual winter) so I am focusing on hydrating my skin and taking care of myself even more than normal. This includes longer baths, acupuncture, listening to Coleman Hawkins and trying out a new scent. I have been loving this sweet combination that reminds me of warm summer days. I am also eating a bit cleaner right now, but this Pasta book is one of the best I have gone through and have already tried both the 30 clove sauce (yes 30 cloves of garlic! but SO good) and making tortellinis. I love how Missy Robbins breaks down the approach to pasta making and although it can be tedious, it feels very rewarding. Another project I hope to tackle this month is finally painting our bathroom. Full disclosure, there has been a swatch painted on the wall since October and I just never got around to it. I have been loving Slipper Satin by Farrow and Ball for a warm white that reads like a light grey with a lot of layering.

I also finally updated my Design Studio page and am booking clients for this year. If you are interested in working together feel free to send me an email or fill out the form on the page. My goal is to expand the studio this year and would love to work together. Heres to a new year and a new month!
