If you have been following my on Instagram for a while you know I do a segment in my stories called monthly questions. I try to answer as many as possible and highlight them for you to reference in the future. I thought it might be helpful to do a recap blog post with the most popular questions because eventually I have to delete some of my highlighted stories. Q: How to decorate for Halloween/Fall in a tasteful, non tacky way?

A: I will be doing a new styling blog post on this next week, but you can read my post on neutral Halloween decor from last year here.

Q: Favorite non pumpkin fall candle?

A: Right now I am loving Spiced Chai by Votivo, Woods by Byredo and Pomegranate Noir by Jo Malone. You can see more on my Candle Shop page and in this post.

Q: Your Thoughts on Shower Curtains?

A: They’re not my favorite, but often unavoidable. I stopped trying to make a cool one work and found that a heavyweight white waffle works wonders and blends in. I have this one from Target and a reader suggested this one for another neutral option.

Q: Favorite fall activity in the Bay Area?

A: I love driving up to wine country during harvest season. I also like going out to West Marin – Pt. Reyes, Inverness and Marshall are all beautiful in the fall!

Q: Favorite fresh flower for your home during fall or winter months?

A: I love so many, but a few of my favorites are; Dahlias, Garden Roses, Astrantia, Hellebores, Jasmine, Ranunculus, Kumquats, Sweet Huck Berry Branches, Astilbe, Pampas Grass and Anemone.

Q: Where do you get your basic bedding items?

A: All of my bedding is from Serena & Lily and is the softest ever! You can shop my duvet here, sheet set here and coverlet here.

Q: Do you have any must haves from Ikea?

A: Yes! The Billy Bookcase. We have this one in our kitchen with the full glass doors and this one in our bedroom. They look so much more expensive than they are.

Q: Can you recommend some trays and small circular trays you put under candles?

A: I have an entire accents shop page with home accessories and under the candles tab you can find pieces I use as a “candle tray”. These can be anything from jewelry dishes to appetizer plates.

Q: Where are the knobs on your bathroom vanity from?

A: They are the bone knobs from Anthropologie, which are no longer available, but these are essentially the same ones.
